Emma Watson Goes Sexy and Edgy for British ELLE Cover

The "Harry Potter" star, who's rumored to have a fashion line in the works, reveals in the August issue of British ELLE that she's ready to make like Hermione and bury her head in some books: she's set to attend Columbia this fall.
"At the moment I feel like I need to go away and figure out what I want to do and be myself for a bit. I just want to take a step back from it and not rush into stuff," she told the magazine.
"I need university to give me that break. People think because I'm going to university I'm never going to act again, but it's actually me... I want to... figure out how I feel about everything first. Maybe I'll keep acting, maybe I won't. I just want to find something where I feel I have to do this."

Watson says Chanel is one of her favorite labels, and rumors swirl that the teenager is set to design her own line.
The August issue of Elle hits newsstands July 1st.

Somehow we doubt NYC will offer the solace and out-of-the-public-eye existence that Watson is seeking. I mean, she's part of the phenomenon known as "Harry Potter."
Watson further explained, "I don't want other people to decide who I am. I want to decide that for myself. I want to avoid becoming too styled and too 'done' and too generic. You see people as they go through their career and they just become more and more like everyone else. They start out with something individual about them but it gets lost. Natalie Portman is an exception. I'm in awe of how she's handled herself." (Portman also stepped back from the spotlight to attend Harvard in 1999.)
Regardless of how badly Watson wants to escape, she can't deny how breathtaking she looks in her most recent fashion editorial for British ELLE.
From Chanel to Balenciaga, Watson commands the rocker-chic look -- in black leather and lace and dripping with diamonds.

I really like the pictures. Finally, something tasteful!!! She kept her clothes on and still looks gorgeous. Imagine that! I hope more stars take her lead and I hope she doesn't fall to the ways of most stars. Starved for attention to the point they feel the need to look like tramps.

Okay, she seriously needs to lose the eye liner. Not working. I like Emma better as the sweet, wholesome, old-fashioned beauty that she usually is. She is one of the few young up-coming starlets with a brain between those ears. I'm hoping she stays that way.

Watson is a smart and beautiful girl, and I wish her the best of luck in whatever path she takes in life. She's wonderful; even when she does edgy pictures, she still somehow comes off looking classy. And I agree with Chris, I too hope she stays the brilliant young lady that she is.

I think she rocks the heavy eyeliner. It's not an every day look, no, but Come On! It was for a mag photo shoot people!
It's all about FANTASY! If the shoot was going for "reality" it would have been a cover on "Good Housekeeping",
"Redbook", or "People" some (old fogie) mag like that.
And ya'll comment like she's gonna read it and "take to heart" whatever it is you say, bah! Can you say - delusional?

There is a difference between looking stylish and looking trashy and to be honest, I think Emma has crossed that line into trashy. She looks like a hooker from England..sorry to say that, but it's true. All the looks and poses she has taken do not look stylish at all; they make her look provacative and like a tease. No wonder she's having problems with stalkers because she or whoever is dressing her does not know what looks good. Why would she even agree to dress like that is beyond me. Young girls look up to her and to have her in those trashy clothes and make-up is not setting a good example. If she's trying not to be like everyone else then she's sadly mistaken because she's looking like every other Hollywood starlet. Just because she decided to go to University doesn't make her less trashy. I'm not saying she should wear sweaters or things like that, but know the difference. You look like trash Emma...thought you were better than that, but apparently not. Shame too.
