Michelle Obama's Style for Russia Trip - What a Fashionable First Family!
Sasha Obama and her mom (aka the First Lady) show off their jet-set style on their walk to Air Force One for trip to Russia.
After celebrating the Fourth of July with thousands of military families on the White House Lawn, the stylish First Family set off for their official visit to Moscow yesterday (July 5).
Mrs. O boarded Air Force One in a 1960's style blue, green and white floral Talbots dress -- which she also wore for her Essence magazine May 2009 cover -- and a yellow Dear Cashmere cardigan.
She cinched her look (yet again!) with a clear Sonia Rykiel belt with purple buckle. The summery look was accessorized with a double strands of pearls and black kitten heels.
Malia and Sasha kept it light and colorful in summery separates but donned cardigans to match mom, while the President traveled in a more conservative outfit: khakis, a button-down and navy blazer.
When the family landed in Moscow today (June 6), the First Lady deplaned in a peach Narciso Rodriguez dress and matching jacket by Michael Kors (from the designer's Resort 2008 collection), defining her waist with the same Sonia Rykiel belt -- this time with an orange buckle.

The Obama girls both wore J.Crew khaki trenches: Sasha's was the Girls' Crushed Twill Trench in Buff paired with "Minna" Printed Ballet Flat in Classic Navy, both by crewcuts, while Malia opted for the more grown-up J.Crew Silk Taffeta Trench in Buff and Satin Ballet Flats With Contrast Trim in Black.
The President was all business in a two-piece suit and red tie.
Not only did Mrs. O cinch her style icon status yet again, but the peach ensemble carried her through the day as she met with the Russian First Lady Svetlana Medvedeva for the first time. How's that for diplomatic style?

What a great travel accessory.... A clear belt with coloured belt buckles- GO SONIA. And yes you can Mrs. O, love both ensembles from Talbot's to Michael Kors in amazingly chic coral. Ostrovia!

I have never been a morning person. That does not work out too well when you have to get 3 kids ready for school in the morning. I have been a regular user of multi-vitamin packs and energy drinks for some time now. I really hated the "burn out" from the drinks and taking the vitamins alone really did not do much for me. I started taking Resveratrol Pills http://cli.gs/EternalRezv and I now love getting up in the morning and have the extra energy to exercise while the kids are in school. So I am a "skinnier" morning person too. I am so glad I found this ultimate supplement: http://cli.gs/EternalRezv

two things:
1) GET RID OF THE BELTS
2) HOW DOES SHE GET HER NOSE TO TOUCH HER CHIN?
what a sorry excuse for a first lady.....

What a pig, should have cinched that belt around her neck

Sure the style is cute - not very first lady like. Someone please be honest with her.....The peach dress would have been much better without the belt - at least not around the jacket.

I think the peach outfit looked fine with the belt, but the yellow cardigan definitely needed to be out. Mrs. Obama is pear shaped, so it makes sense that she likes high-waisted dresses, but the Floral dress was so stiff it made her hips look even larger than she they are. She should stick with fabrics that drape.

FINALLY someone has stated what I've been thinking! Thank you, j.

I agree she looks nice and doesn't always have to spend a fortune on designer clothes but what she wears is more often appropriate for an office job or school teacher, not First Lady of the United States visiting a foreigner country on a state visit. Sometimes her "stylish?" accessories are the things that make the outfit more like a college girls than a professional woman's. I wonder if she dressed this way in her professional job before Obama went into politics, or if she was more appropriately dressed, like a suit? I mean wear the same cheap cartigan to have Nancy Regan to lunch that you then wear out to garden, give me a break! Someone help our First Lady, her daughters are more appropriately dressed than the mother.

Thanks for saying that. For months now, I was thinking I had lost all fashion sense---because the fashion police rave about her "homemade" looking outfits. I think the belt spoils the entire look and is worn way to high. Often time, her shoes seem to belong to a different outfit and don't compliment what she is wearing, either. Great example are the black patent shoes she boarded the plane with---paired with a white floral dress.

You don't know style. What are you wearing?????????

Stupid!! That's how it is for "diplomatic style!" The belt that's above her waist and under her breasts looks absolutely ridiculous!! NO style - at all! The belt RUINS the look! What's with the "old man holding up his sagging pants" look??!! Anyone who thinks this is stylish is foolish and stretching the truth! Some people can wear belts like this -- other's can't and Mrs O falls in the later category. Where are her fashion consultants? Doesn't anyone on her staff know what looks good on her body-type??

Her style is much too girlish and young and does not represent the office of President nor the First Lady - she needs to grow up!

I totally agree with you.
Since when did having "an opinion" make someone a "hater"
You libs are supposed to be "open" to all differences and I think that includes difference of opinion!
Who is the real hater?
