As if you weren't pumped enough for season three of the hit series, AMC has just announced a new and innovative partnership with Banana Republic.
The collaboration will bring the influential style of "Mad Men" to a B-Rep near you for the three weeks leading up to the show's premiere on Sunday, August 16 at 10 pm ET/9 pm C.
From July 21 through August 11, Banana Republic will be teasing you with some major "Mad Men" madness.
Expect themed window displays featuring scenes from the show, modern takes on iconic Sixties office attire (cross your fingers for tight mohair sweaters!) and season three details.
Since debuting in 2007, "Mad Men" has received rave reviews from viewers and critics alike, in addition to winning multiple Emmys and Golden Globes. The show's followers have become addicted to the dramatic ins-and-outs of the lusty, '60s-era ad execs, who seemingly get all their creative inspiration from the bottom of a gimlet. And of course, there's the fashion!
"Style and fashion are at the core of 'Mad Men' with its 1960's aesthetic highlighting the classic silhouettes that are still popular today," says Jack Calhoun, president of Banana Republic. (Think impeccably tailored suits, pressed shirts, sexy pencil skirts, sheath dresses and Jackie O-style headscarf/sunglass combos.)
"Banana Republic is known for its modern take on these classics, such as the suit, trench coat and classic white shirt, so the partnership is a natural fit for both brands," Calhoun adds.
Pop into any BR location -- all 400+ stores in the U.S and Canada are participating -- to pick up one of the style guides featuring character profiles with corresponding styled looks and tips on how to dress like your favorite guy or gal. Then shop accordingly.
If you're new to the show, don't fret, the style guide offers a free iTunes download of the pilot episode as a gift with purchase.
But wait, there's more! Ticket codes in the back of the guide will allow you to enter a casting call for a walk-on role in an upcoming episode of "Mad Men," in addition to a $1,000 Banana Republic gift card. (That's a lot of pencil skirts!)
Better start practicing your Joan walk. 'Cause if you win, you're gonna need it!

I love 60's fashion style. I usually buy stuffs that will be mirrored on 60's but sometimes I really get into hard times searching for the designs that will clearly build up my 60's look. But now, since Banana Republic came out with this fashion style, I will not be hooked on shopping centers just to find similar designs.
Well, if there's anyone here who need accessories for their style, then I found a piece that really gave me a decent look. Here's the link:http://www.essential-watches.com/Watch.aspx?ID=20658&ErrorPath=Maurice-Lacroix-MP6066-SS001-37E-Maurice-Lacroix-Ladys-Calendar-with-Moon-Steel-on-Strap-with-Blue-MOP-Dial-20658&count=0&type=watch.
I am sure that this item will fit on 60's getup because it really suits me well when I partnered it with 60's fashion style.
Hope it helps.

I am in love and his name is Mr. Power Colon Cleanse http://tinyurl.com/PowerColonCleanse ! This is by far the best cleansing product available. I saw it on Oprah and thought I would give it a try. Power Colon Cleanse has pretty much changed the way I live my life. My daily chores are done in a breeze and I have more energy, not to mention more time in my day since I don't mind jumping out of bed in the mornings at 7:00 am now. This is not just a cleanser. It is also a detox. I can feel it working and have only been using it for 6 weeks.
I owe my life to http://tinyurl.com/PowerColonCleanse

It seems like the PERFECT match. The classic, clean lines of Banana have ALWAYS reminded me of the 50's/early 60's and subsequently Mad Men.
Being a 50's fashion freak (give me a full-skirted shirtdress to wear ANY DAY) and a real life Ad gal, I have fallen in love with this show.
I entered the competition, votes are appreciated but my goodness! Its disturbing how many people just submitted their headshots!! I happened to find this Banana dress that fit me perfectly and walked right off the set! :) Jewelry is vintage though! :)
