Michelle Obama Style - A Summery Sundress in Ghana

After Michelle Obama wore all black to meet the Pope in Italy, the First Lady opted for summery white during the First Family's official visit to Ghana over the weekend.
Upon arrival in Ghana on Friday (July 10), MO was wearing a black, square-neck sheath and a double strand of pearls. But Mrs. O did a complete 180 and changed into a sleeveless white sundress to join the President for an official visit to La General Hospital in Accra, Ghana on Saturday.
The simple and summery dress is from designer Sophie Theallet's Spring/Summer 2009 collection. It features a full skirt with pink and marigold stripes and grosgrain ribbon detailing at the waist (a substitution for her obligatory belt?).
And yet again Michelle Obama proves she's a fashion insider, choosing an up-and-coming designer.
Theallet spent ten years as Azzedine Alaïa's (another Mrs. O favorite) right-hand designer before moving to New York and starting her own line.
During their stay, the power couple along with daughters Sasha and Malia toured "The Door of No Return" in Cape Coast, Ghana.
For the visit, Mrs. O went tourist-casual in blue-gray capris, a striped tee and teal cardigan (fastened with a brooch).
After a full day, the First Family headed home to Washington, DC.

While we would've been wearing sweatpants at this point, the First Lady is no fashion slouch! MO emerged from Air Force One looking glamorous as always in a floral Moschino shirtdress (the same one she donned when Joe Biden announced his Vice-Presidential Candidacy).
Welcome home!

This article is less sloppy spit drooling over MO, thank GOD. This bizarre blatant veneration of her makes me dislike her and she hasn't done anything to deserve that. Sometimes she looks good and other times she doesn't, just like any other woman. She does not walk on water. She is nothing like Jackie O. It is the lunatic gushing and juvenile lickspittle ravings of she-can-do-no-wrong that I am sick of, and so is the rest of the U.S.A.

I think maybe the spit obsessed might be a little more annoyed with the fact that it's not Palin they're "gushing" over instead of it being Michelle Obama. The comparison to Jackie O is still a little lost on me,I think Michelle does things a bit better sometimes myself, but that may be because of age. A little presumptive to speak for the entire nation to don't you think?
