Katie Holmes was photographed on her way to dinner bearing striking semblance to a wet rat - without a stitch of makeup and with greasy looking locks. And what's with her nails? Painted sea green, Katie seems to be missing the nail polish on her middle finger. Maybe she's starting a new fad, but we suspect (or hope, anyway) that a little girl named Suri may be behind Katie's nail caper. These shots are striking because we're so accustomed to Katie dutifully filling her role as the glamorous Mrs.Cruise, as evidenced in the next slide.

Here, we've got a typical post-Tom Katie look, snapped at the UK premiere of Valkyrie on January 21, 2009. Tasteful and glamorous, Katie looks to old school fashion icons (or, arguably, BeFri Victoria Beckham), for beauty and fashion inspiration. With sleek, glossy locks and youthful purple shadow popping her green eyes, she's the picture of health and beauty. And though some of us may yearn for Katie's old Joey Potter-esque innocence, it's obvious that she's hit her style stride.
