Michelle Obama Style - Relaxed in White for a Summer Weekend Getaway

The First Lady knows how to turn up the fashion heat when it comes to visiting official dignitaries around the world, but for a summer weekend with the family, Michelle Obama is equally in the fashion know.

After spending a (well-deserved) weekend at Camp David, Md., the First Family returned to the White House looking the perfect picture of relaxed summer style.

Mrs. O sported a white button-down (sleeves neatly rolled up) over a teal top paired with white capris. She completed her look with white tennis shoes, white canvas bag, simple black shades and a lavender watch.

Sasha, holding mom's hand, wore all pink, including long shorts, a peace logo tee and a coordinating patterned canvas bag.

Malia stuck with more muted tones -- a navy hoodie over a printed tank and plaid shorts. She also carried an Eco-friendly tote. The eldest first daughter looks like she's quickly catching up to Mrs. O, height-wise. Before we know it, Malia will be raiding the First Lady's closet. (Drool!)

The President didn't veer from his tried-and-true business casual look.

Now back to running the country.

HEADLINE - MICHELLE OBAMA WEARS CLOTHES!!!!!

Like her husband, no details are too ordinary not to become news. Michelle has a persona and style that has been fabricated in the past year and a half. Look at her old ( but not very old) pictures
If her "before" was unattractive and severe, now she looks like she had a makeover by Style magazine. In other words upscale soccer mom. Like any other mom whose kids go to an expensive private school (like hers) So she wears REALLY expensive sneakers while showing DC high school kids her garden. As down to earth as Paris Hilton. She has no taste except those of her buyers and stylists. This administration is all about the photo op and all the public family details are about that deep. Their tastes are upper class yuppie in terms of clothes, food, reataurants and leisure pursuits. Even their dog is a preppy pooch of choice, an upscale Lab. Unremarkable and unreal. Gloss without a trace of individualism.

Unhappy with the beautiful First Family; eventually the jealousy and hatred will pass or you will learn to live with such a beautiful image.

How wonderful that MO is "relaxed and in summer style"... Unfortunately, I find it difficult to feel anything for the slobbering lovefest and buttkissing reporting on her sense of "style", when more important issues are at hand. Since this is a style blog, maybe we could talk about how much "style" Michelle possessed while at the medical center at the University of Chicago. Patients were screened according to their insurance/ability to pay. Rich folks with private insurance were admitted. Poor people on Medicaid and Medicare (predominately black) were sent packing. The woman in charge of the screening now lives at the White House. Yes, it was Michelle Obama. Wake up, folks! This black woman has a history of exploiting other blacks! The hypocrisy is astounding!!!
