Tibi was one of our favorite shows at Miami Fashion Week. Designer Amy Smilovic launched the line while she was living in Hong Kong (her husband was transferred there for work).

We had a few moments to catch up with Smilovic backstage before the show, so we decided to get the scoop on her famous "Brazilian" bottoms, and baring your booty on the beach (as is custom in Miami):

StyleList: We noticed some of the suits are cut kind of skimpily.

Smilovic: They are.

StyleList: How do you know if you can pull that off?

Smilovic: You know, I really think it's about putting something on and feeling comfortable. I'll have the tiniest, most fit friends, and they'll come out in a bathing suit bottom and I'll be like, 'that looks like a diaper on you!' People should not buy things to cover themselves up. It's almost more of a faux pas to wear a bathing suit that's too big than one that's too small.

StyleList: What do you think about Miami and the whole "let it all hang out" mentality on the beaches here?

Smilovic: Honestly, if I had the body that half these girls have down here, I'd let it all go. I don't even think I'd wear a bikini!

Next up, we've got the scoop on the hair and makeup at the shows, plus our picks for the best suits at Fashion Week. You won't want to miss it!
