Women Are Getting More Attractive While Men Stay the Same

The study tracked 1,244 women and 997 men in America throughout their lives. The attractive women in the study had 16% more children than the average-looking ladies, meaning more gorgeous babies in the next generation.
What's more, those babies are usually female: according to the study, attractive people were 36% more likely to have a daughter than a son as their first-born child, reports the Daily Mail.
As a result, we've got a genuine beauty gap between males and females that may continue to grow over the next generation.
Dr. Satoshi Kanazawa, an evolutionary psychologist at the London School of Economics and the study's leader, explains the phenomenon, "Physical attractiveness is good for both men and women, but it is much better for women than men. In my study, I demonstrate that more men than women are 'average' looking, while more women than men are either 'attractive' or 'very attractive,'" the site reports.
But some, like psychologist and life coach Mamta Bhatia of Thinkspalondon disagree. Bhatia attributes the gap to more women taking care of themselves with better access to beauty and make-up products, Daily Mail reports.
But regardless which side you take, it looks like men have it good!

I definitely take issue with this article. I disagree that women are getting more beautiful. Who determines that anyway? I know some people may think a woman is beautiful and I take one look at her and go "no". Some ruin their beauty with tattoos or use ugly evil nail polish. Some have short unattractive hair-cuts, bad cosmetic surgery, etc. Many women are trying to look more beautiful but are making themselves look worse. And then there is inner beauty - even harder to find. Women curse, smoke, drink, do drugs. And of course, more and more women are out of shape, overweight or obese. Most women are completely unappealing. It's hard being straight nowadays.

It is difficult to stay happy not drinking, not smoking, not taking drugs, not swearing. Look around and you see that most of those attributes belong to women that get a long of attention from men, while the other women are unnoticed.

I come this cite fetching a question i had in mind. Actually, i agree both with the article and the other commenter. However, we can easily see that men are worse than women when it comes to fashion..
My question is that in general why women are more fashion-care than men ?!! It is actually true that SOME men care, but not as like women. Is this psychological, physical, or even genetic? Is it a society tradition...?!

I've also noticed that women are becoming more beautiful through the generations. I've always attributed it to some sort of vague notion of genetics, so I'm glad to have read this article and learned that there is some basis for the belief.
I also notice that attractiveness in men is often secondary to their earning power. It's almost a cliche to see a couple on the street where the woman is gorgeous and the man has a face like a potato.
