"I stood in line for two and a half hours and all they did was take my picture," said Brittany Jeffrey, a 22-year-old actor from Queens. (At least she got in.)
Others, who were still waiting in line, included Yasmin Visanji, 21, from Northampton, England, is interning in the city for the summer.
"To be honest, I wish I put more thought into my wardrobe," she said, looking down at her floral dress. "I just saw the ad on the Internet and 'Sex and the City' is huge in England. It just seems like the perfect New York life."
The ad she's referring to asked for all "fashion models, celebrity types, upscale socialites, urban clubgoers, gays and lesbians and international types (Middle Eastern, Arabic, Asian, European, British) and professional soccer players" to make it out to the open casting call.
(Are they casting hot "footballers" to make Victoria Beckham feel right at home should she land the cameo she's after?)
Letiece, 18, from Connecticut, didn't really fit into any of those categories, but it didn't stop her from waiting in line for an hour. "I always wanted to be in a film, and you have to start somewhere, so why not here?," she reasoned.
Adding, "The last casting call I went to -- for 'Top Model' -- failed because someone yelled out 'bomb' and we all ran. That was crazy. But today, it's so far, so good."
Maybe someone should've yelled "Jimmy Choo sample sale" to secure a place in line!
