Will Lady Gaga never cease to amaze us?

Even with her head-turning fashion choices (full-face mask, Kermit the Frog jacket, the list goes on), Gaga still managed to surprise us with the hairy elephant headpiece she donned for a Japanese TV show appearance.

The 23-year-old's pit stop in Japan, which also included getting a tattoo of a German verse in Osaka, brought us this acoustic performance of her hit single "Poker Face."

Stage-dress antics aside, we were impressed that the blonde songstress could switch gears so effortlessly -- going unplugged on the piano, throwing in a few "I love you, Tokyo!" shout-outs and even incorporating sensitive songwriter touches, like perfectly timed finger snaps -- straight out of Alicia Keys' playbook.

Still, it was the pachyderm headgear that stole the show. The tress topper, complete with trunk and tusks, looked like hair extensions gone awry.

But from the Japanese panel's enthusiastic reaction, it appears Gaga knows just how to please her fans.
