Michael Jackson, style icon, gets a chic model tribute in a special subscriber-only collector cover of Harper Bazaar's September issue. Leighton Meester, of "Gossip Girl" fame, is featured on the newsstand cover, out Aug. 18.
The magazine's cover features model-of-the-moment Agyness Deyn, 26, wearing modern takes on MJ's famous style.
We love the Grammy shot with a Bubbles the Chimp-look-alike, the red leather "Thriller" pose (complete with zombies, naturally), and, of course, the one-sequined-glove look that graces the cover.
Sparkly, band-leader clothes by Moschino, Rag & Bone and Balmain meet slim black slacks and super-shiny, MJ-style loafers.
"My mum used to always dress me and my sister in matching Laura Ashley dresses," says Deyn in the magazine.
"And I'd be like, 'Mum, I just wanna wear my Doc Martens!'"
Deyn, like Jackson, manages to make white socks with black shoes look cool.
