Michelle Obama Wears Shorts

With sneakers, an unbuttoned blouse over a white tee or cami, jaunty white baseball cap and a bright lavender plastic timepiece by Toywatch, Michelle looked every bit the standard American tourist (albeit one with a pretty big entourage).
The shorts were far more casual than her usual chic dresses and belted cardigans. They showed off her muscular legs and were probably just the right thing for hiking on a hot day.

But the weekend winner? The black-and-tan chevron pattern dress she donned upon landing in Arizona on Friday (above right). While not appropriate for hiking, the look was warm weather chic at its best!

Just because a president is not in Washington does not mean he is not doing the Country's buisiness. I am sure being on "vacation" is not keepring Barack Obama from figuring out a way to ram "Health Care Reform" down our throats! Just like it did not kepp president Bush from keeping our country safe and prosperous for 8 yrs! The economy might be bad now, but it was BOOMING under Bush.

This reply is actually to Angie...Why should the first lady have to dress formally to go hiking at the Grand Canyon in 100 degree weather just because she is the first lady? She isn't allowed to dress like a normal American when doing normal American activities? And to CarolW: Do you dress up when you go hiking? If not, then I guess you aren't exactly classy yourself. Sorry, but just because she is the First Lady doesn't mean she shouldn't be allowed to wear shorts when it is 100 degrees outside.
