New Instant Nose Jobs Make Surgery SO Last Year
Nose jobs: A thing of the past? Photo: Getty Images.
A new procedure may chance all that.
Injectibles like Juvederm® and Restylane®, often used to fill in facial wrinkles, are now being used to reshape the nose in minutes without anethesia or incisions.
Instead of going under the knife for a nose job, doctors merely inject either brand of hyaluronic acid (which requires no allergy risk and is gradually absorbed back into the body's own supply) into any desired areas to even out the shape of the nose.
While it can't make the nose smaller, it can add volume to smooth away a bump or fill out a crooked area. One syringe (which costs about $500 and up, depending on your location) lasts about 6 months to a year.
Interestingly, this procedure is technically an "off-label" use for the fillers, as even seemingly common procedures like lip plumping were not included in the original FDA approval:
"The FDA approved Juvéderm® hyaluronic acid dermal fillers for the correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the parentheses that run from the corner of the mouth to the nose." says Dr. Andrew Jacono, a facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon at the New York Center for Facial Plastic and Laser Surgery.
Any other use was not taken into consideration by the FDA, although doctors widely practice them.
Would you reshape your nose with injections? Have you had hyaluronic acid fillers already? Let us know in a comment!

I have never been a morning person. That does not work out too well when you have to get 3 kids ready for school in the morning. I have been a regular user of multi-vitamin packs and energy drinks for some time now. I really hated the "burn out" from the drinks and taking the vitamins alone really did not do much for me. I started taking Resveratrol Pills http://cli.gs/RezV and I now love getting up in the morning and have the extra energy to exercise while the kids are in school. So I am a "skinnier" morning person too. I am so glad I found this ultimate supplement: http://cli.gs/RezV

Working as an esthetician I always get people asking what they can do about their wrinkles and cellulite. For wrinkles I tell them about ResV Derm http://TrulyFlawlessSkin.com and how it is an incredible anti-aging, anti-wrinkle cream that contains the most potent, doctor grade, wrinkle erasing ingredients that tone and tighten the skin for a smoother, younger face. It's much better, safer, and less expensive than Botox. They always come back to tell me how great it is and how much younger they look. It’s a great product and I back it up 100%. http://TrulyFlawlessSkin.com
For cellulite problems I always recommend http://cli.gs/CelluliteSolutions a cellulite toning system that is clinically proven to smooth cellulite and firm in as little as 72 hours.

Yes! I had this procedure done in Brazil about two years ago! The surgeon told me he was going to lift my nose and I protested and said, "I don't want a pig nose!" He smiled and said, "You won't have a pig nose. I am going to cause the light to hit your nose in a different place than it does now, and you will look younger. I went to Dr Antonio Carlos Strumiello, stru at uol.com.br and boy was it worth it. I think he used Restylane, as I recall. Everything I had done was half the price of the USA and it was in Sao Paulo, Brazil, the 4th largest city in the world. I was nervous about going down there, but everything was top of the line. And, the hotel was connected to the plastic surgery hospital. The patients are not sick people, so there are less germs in that hospital, built by leading plastic surgeons of Sao Paulo. Anyway, I looked younger and there was not a bump that I could see on my nose, but somehow what he told me did happen. The light hit my nose in a peculiar way and I looked younger all the time and including in photographs. I am going to go back again because after some time it wears off.

Girlfriend did this and it was a mistake. She should have left well enough alone because it messed up her nose. She had a little tiny flaw that no one noticed unless she pointed it out. Now she has a very obvious wound where they did the injection into her nose and it won't propery heal - part of that could be her fault for "squeezing" the wounded area but she couldn't stand the mess they made and now she's probably scarred for life.
She went in for something else and now has a knot behind her ear. The doctor doesn't understand why his nurse or assistant even gave her an injection back there. We probably ought to sue these people for incompetance, but like anything, if it sounds too good to be true it probably is ... and there can always be complications.

Most people get nose jobs to make their noses smaller. This injection practice had been around for years. It is not new. To make outrageous statements like "Nose jobs: a thing of the past" is completely ridiculous. People get nose jobs to either get rid of the bony bump on their nose, or make their nose narrower. Sooo stupid.

The idea of an injection on my nose scares me.
There is another product that I have used for a while, it is not a gimmik, it is real. It has being around for over 25 years. It helps to refine and reshape the nose.
They are a pair of nose inserts that when you place them inside your nostril , inmediately give your nose a lift making your nose to look narrower and refined.
I started using them for photo shoots but I am so adicted now that I wear them all the time. I recommend them.
I like the US brand NoseSecret. It is a cheap lift without the the pain of the injections. An with this economy $34.95 is nothing to boost your look.
