Ask any beauty editor -- one of the most fun people in the industry is makeup artist Mally Roncal. She's a bundle of positive energy (and if you've seen her on QVC, you know what I mean) and loves to make women look and feel beautiful. Her makeup line, Mally Beauty, is her way of bringing tricks of the trade to women everywhere -- tricks she's developed from years of working on A-listers like Beyoncé and Jennifer Lopez.

I recently chatted with Mally to get her take on what's going on in the makeup world right now, and needless to say, she's beyond thrilled that women are experimenting with bold colors and defining their features again after years and years of nothing but tinted moisturizer, mascara and clear lip gloss.

"For so long there were just bland faces," says Mally. "But before you start having fun with crazy colors, take the time to perfect the details. Bright colors will just show off dark circles and uneven skin."

Flawless skin is a must for fall, but Mally warns against piling on powder and instead recommends her invisible Poreless Perfection Skin Finisher, which was inspired by hi-def TV. "I no longer use powder on my clients," she explains. "Thanks to HD, now if I come to a client with a powder puff she'll hit me with her purse and run away! It just gets cakey and terrible. Skin Finisher invisibly fills in pores, cuts oil and diffuses the light."

And her new Perfect Prep Hydrating Eye Primer creates a smooth canvas for fall's intense eye looks. "It's incredible. I don't even use eye cream anymore."

Mally loves sexy, smoldering metallics for eyes, but hates when cream formulas crease up, so she put her Evercolor Shadow Stick through a rigourous test: "I tested it on Beyoncé -- she was doing a show where she ended up in a waterfall. She came off stage all soaking wet and I was like, 'Let me see your eyeshadow!' It was there. It will stay until you take it off."

So if you want to use Mally's sticks to pull a crazy Lily Allen-style makeup move, be sure to have some eye makeup remover handy or you'll be stuck like that!
