DJ/music producer/Gucci sneaker collaborator Mark Ronson is known for his sleek and slim retro-styled suits, but this past Saturday he made perhaps his most important sartorial statement to date.
Spinning at the "Long Live the King!" Michael Jackson Birthday tribute event at New York City's Nokia Theatre, Ronson manned the turntables in an "I Heart AM" T-shirt worn in honor of the late DJ AM (aka Adam Goldstein).
Goldstein's body was discovered in his NYC apartment Friday afternoon. A report today on TMZ said the following regarding the cause of death, "Law enforcement sources directly connected with the death of DJ AM tell us that his death was the result of an accidental overdose and not a suicide..."
The day before, Ronson had posted a photo of he and Goldstein with the line "forever and ever and a day" on his Twitter page.

I think it's a horrible tragedy what happened. I wish his family and friends my condolences. I look at his story like an unfortunate ending to a potentially great triumph. He'd survived only to succumb to a battle he'd won before. Unfortunately sometimes the most beautiful of songs have no remix.
