She models, she sings, she towers over her husband, French president Nicolas Sarkozy ... is there anything French First Lady Carla Bruni can't do?

Apparently not. The beauty is rumored to be turning her attention to acting, reports the Telegraph, citing an article in the Spanish paper El Mundo which claims that Bruni has signed on to star for director Woody Allen in a film set to begin shooting in 2010.

But don't start sobbing into your pillow just yet, Scarlett Johansson. The Telegraph also notes that sources close to Bruni have disputed the claims to France's Le Parisien paper, though The Elysée had no comment on the matter.

Whether Bruni is ready for her close-up or not, Allen has expressed interest in the idea, the paper reports.

"I'm sure she would be wonderful," Allen remarked last June, according to the Telegraph. "She has charisma and she performs, so she's not unknown to an audience, and I would cast her in many different ways. I don't have a story at the moment but, you know, maybe even I'll ask her, if she's interested."

Conveniently, Allen is set to film a movie in Paris next year, reports the paper.

Bruni has previously appeared on screen in Robert Altman's "Pret-a-Porter" and a 1994 French film called "Paparazzi." Still, that's small potatoes compared to being Allen's next leading lady.

And if that doesn't pan out, maybe he could cast Michelle Obama?
