This fall, shoe designer Donald J Pliner is hosting a design competition to support his foundation, Peace for the Children.
To enter, you need to design a shoe based on the theme of peace. The uber grand prize? The shoe gets created for Pliner's fall 2010 collection and you're $2,000 richer. First place wins $1,000, second place, $500, and third place, a not-too-shabby $250.
The contest is open to the public and entry forms can be found in Donald J Pliner boutiques and online at donaldjpliner. Entries are due by Nov. 15.
This isn't the first peace-themed Pliner project. For spring 2009, the designer collaborated with the Fashion Institute of Design Merchandising to host a similar contest.
Winner Leila Tamar Kerze received a $1,000 scholarship and her winning creation (above) will be part of Pliner's spring 2010 collection.
