Runway Review - Monique Lhuillier

Filed under: Accessories, Fashion, Best of the Season, Runway Report

DESIGNER: Monique Lhuillier

INSPIRATION: Intricate draping of the Masai Warriors

TOP LOOKS:
Black silk chiffon one-shoulder draped gown with fringed sleeve; antique gold bolero over a black strapless fringed cocktail dress; sunflower yellow knotted one-shoulder dress; burnt sienna draped gown with revealing midriff

ACCESSORIES:
Straw hats, black platform shoes, precious stone cocktail rings, ivory bangles

WHO WAS THERE:
Actresses Joanna Garcia and Kate Sumner (Sting's daughter)

OVERALL THOUGHTS: Hollywood A-listers better start toning their shoulders (at least one of them, anyway). The red carpet fave had a Studio 54 moment with all the Halston-esque asymmetrical jersey gowns and disco-ready fringe.
