Runway Review - Ports 1961

DESIGNER: Ports 1961

INSPIRATION: Asiatica all the way

TOP LOOKS:
Tie-dye silk harem pants; draped jersey knotted t-shirt dresses; a bandeau-top dress in pale gold silk; a bustled sheath doused with splashes of gold

ACCESSORIES: Architectural school-girl pumps and flats by Finnish designer Julia Lundsten

WHO WAS THERE:
Ivanka Trump

WHAT WE THOUGHT:
Designer Tia Cibani collaborated with Japanese print-maker Ritsuko Hiraji, interpreting "the ombré glow of coral skies at sunrise," and the other natural wonders. The collection had a soupcon of Chado Ralph Rucci in it--strong peaked shapes, stiff rich fabrics and lady-like undertones.
