THE SCOOP: Lost in a desert is the place to be this spring. Hayden-Harnett is the second designer of the season to take it high and dry. (Erin Wasson x RVCA is the other). The hair was very glamour-girl-trapped-in-sauna chic. "They had their hair styled into 70's wavy, and now those waves have succumbed to the heat," said Karcher. McGuire found inspiration in "the desert and volcanoes," enlivening earthy neutrals with molten lave oranges and boldly penciled brows.
GET THE LOOK - MAKEUP: All makeup by Tarte. Cheeks were tawny with Mineral Powder Bronzer in Park Ave Princess, paired with Natural Cheek Stain in Tipsy. Eyes smoldered subtly with Lock & Roll Creaseless Cream Powder Shadow in Sandstone on the lids, Indelible Wink Liquid Liner in Chocolate on upper lids, EmphasisEyes High Definition Eye Pencil in Nude (new or Spring 2010) on inner lower lids, and lots of Lights, Camera, Lashes! Mascara. Brows were a focus, sharpened and darkened with EmphasisEyes for Brows High Definition Brow Pencil. And lips were nude and glossy thanks to 24/7 Natural Lip Sheers in Summer Fling and Champagne Brunch.
GET THE LOOK - HAIR: The main tools for hair were Davines Defining Texturizing Spray and a one-inch barrel curling iron. Karcher created fishtail braids on some models, winding in long pieces of leather. Other models worn headbands made from twisted pieces of fabric used in the show.
