Runway Review - Preen
Models at Preen's Spring 2010 runway show. Photo: Michael Loccisano, Getty Images
INSPIRATION: Restraint, Japanese bondage, early 90s grunge, Corrinne Day photographs
TOP LOOKS: Gray flowing top with silver leather jeans; rope-tied halter L.B.D.; lightweight button-down shirt with sculpted shoulders and high waisted black pants
ACCESSORIES: Preen's own (their first season) of sculptured heels in an assortment of colors with a twisted heels
WHO WAS THERE: Alexa Chung, Leigh Lezark
WHAT WE THOUGHT: There was a shock value to this collection that is lovely and unexpected (especially for showing in New York). Lightweight bubblegum hued dresses mixed nicely among the harder edged black and lace bondage pieces. Rope neck ties actually held up some of the sack dresses with reflective rainbow speckles. All in all, it was balanced contradiction of elements.

Dear editor
I just watched a fashion show from "Preen" on fashion tv, summer collection and in your web site, shame of them and you for exhibit look vanish models, you & them promote fenomen like anorexia and eating disorders. Fashion is good but use human models with good bodys but not look like from concentration camps. Shame of you!!!
Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi the disegners of the shame, why don't they looks like theirs skeleton models???
