THE SCOOP: Ralph Rucci is known for his architectural designs. And with so much structure in the Spring 2010 collection, lead makeup artist Tom Pecheux created a "very minimal, but very powerful face" with the focal being charcoal eyes and black lashes.
"I love to work with designers who have a real point of view and ask us to make a real point of view...not to just make the girl pretty," said Pecheux.
GET THE LOOK - MAKEUP: All makeup by MAC. Pecheux created a nude face by using Face and Body Foundation and Select Moisturecover (where needed) before setting with Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder. Brows are combed and kept natural, and lips followed suit with no color and moistened. To mimic, Pecheux's dramatic eye, apply Eye Kohl in Smolder to the outer half top and bottom before sweeping Eye Shadow in Print over kohl. For those whimsical lashes, cut false lashes (#34 and #3) in half, layer and apply to outer eyes on top and bottom. Finish with Zoom Lash in Black.
