DESIGNER: Erin Fetherston

INSPIRATION: Fetherston's childhood memories of seeing wild deer and a pink forest of cherry blossoms while on a trip to Nara, Japan

TOP LOOKS: Navy dress in thick cotton-silk worn over a sheer black top with heavily embellished sleeves and matching gloves; porcelain blue wrap top paired with a while linen eyelet skirt and sparkly belt; all of the delicate veil-like headpieces

ACCESSORIES: Chunky Lulu Frost for Erin Fetherston gold necklaces with big brooch attachments; gauzy hats and headpieces by Bernstock Speirs; sheer and fishnet gloves by Dorothy Gaspar

WHO WAS THERE: Damon Dash, Sarah Sophie Flicker from The Citizens Band, Irina Lazareanu

WHAT WE THOUGHT: While the primary cherry blossom inspiration manifested itself in light pink floral print chiffon dresses (and the puffy pink carnations left on each seat), we thought Fetherston's best effort came in the moodier navy and black section of her show.

We loved the dark, sturdy cotton silk pieces that were jazzed up with ruffled organza collars, sheer peek-a-boo fabric panels and jewel encrusted belts. Necklines and sleeves that had a rock 'n' roll feel.

The big bib necklaces, see-through gloves and headbands with dreamy net overlays were the perfect additions to give the whole collection a fun, we're-playing-dress-up feel.
