THE SCOOP: Maria Cornejo's designs are always full of interesting patterns, draping, and shapes. So for her Spring 2010 show, lead makeup artist Dick Page conceptualized an "almost like nothing" look to balance out the Chilean-born designer's collection.
"The whole idea is to not read any makeup on the girls so that they look very fresh," said Page. "I'm using a powder brush kind of in the wrong way. Usually you use it to brush over foundation and powder for a matte finish, but I am using the tips of the brush against bare skin to create a flush."
GET THE LOOK - MAKEUP: All makeup by Shiseido. To mimic Page's simple and clean look, start with a natural face. For that touch of sun, brush cheeks with Luminizing Satin Face Color in Tea Rose (available February 2010). Line eyes with a mixture of Smoothing Eyeliner Pencil in Brown and Accentuating Color Stick in Glistening Flush. Blend liner down to give it a little bit of a slip. Fill in thin brows with Natural Eyebrow Pencil and file upwards for fullness. Curl lashes and layer on a light coat of Perfect Mascara in Black. To finish, pad lips with Perfect Rouge Tender Sheer in Pout (available February 2010).
