WHAT WE THOUGHT: Roy has always been a fashion darling but recently she has been fully bear-hugged by the community. Last month she launched her diffusion line Rachel Rachel Roy at Macy's last month and has taken off. Also as of late, she's gone in front of the camera for The Tyra Banks Show and her own recent mini-documentary for Vogue.TV.

Roy's eponymous line, shown yesterday evening, is worthy of the current wave of attention. Her modern interpretation of the power suit -- especially with separates in bright yellow, blue and fuchsia hues -- was a strong standout. There were also sophisticated evening offerings, in particular a strapless black LBD and the raffia tuxedo jumpsuit that closed out the show.
