Pink Eye Makeup - Emerging Trend at Fashion Week!

It's a toughie! Pink eye makeup can either look really cool or really terrible.

But despite the risk of making models look like they're sick, several designers at New York Fashion Week have sent girls down the runway sporting pink eye makeup.

A few tips from the pros on making the look work: Anchor the color with brown eyeliner, like makeup artist Polly Osmond did at Tuleh. Have a heavy hand with black mascara, as seen by makeup artist Nadine Luke at Alice + Olivia.

Or just have fun with it like makeup artist James Kaliardos did at Ruffian!

Pink can indeed be very pretty. However, these models look likethey have a case of conjunctivitis... When the color pink is appliedimproperly, it can look like "pink-eye"! :-/

Eeesh. This is a terrible look. It makes the girls look sick! If the pros are getting those results, imagine how those of us doing our own makeup would turn out. Could be useful when you are calling in sick.....

I don't like the "pink" look much....but it is eons better than the dark "heorin addict" look that was around for too long.

Have you tried the Avon instant eye sheets. They are awesome! Just peel off the thin plastic, place sheet over your eye and gently rub...instant eyeshadow combos with perfect placement and shading! I love them....especially the pink-in-a-wink!

What you are doing is fricking horrid. Have you ever tried to use some L'Oreal shade called raven in the creases with the pink? It gives so much of a contrast that just seems to make the eyes just pop! This is what I use daily and get so many compliments along with the how do your eyes look so gorgeous compliments. I wish there were a way to attach a photo to this!!

That color looks horrible on those models. No matter how it is applied the color pink is not a good color for anyone.
