Upon entering the Library Room at the Soho House, guests attending the Mulberry Spring 2010 presentation were treated to a carnival complete with a candy presentation, caramel covered apples, carousel horses, and balloons.

The season "celebrated faded beauty, distortion and the naivety, sweetness and intensity of adolescence," according to the literature given out to media darlings in attendance.

Models weaved in between the carousel horses rocking ready-to-wear items in the season's four prints "Crazy Horse Heads" (a graphically opaque carousel horse head print), "Carousel Horses" (a faded photo montage of fairground attractions), "Dreamy Day" (a super-faded, dreamy print) and "Fuzzy Flora" (a vivid, Technicolor floral print).

As for Mulberry handbags – a girl's true love – the color palette included a mix of neutrals like creme, blush and beige and vibrant shots of pink. A playful pink/black animal print added whimsy to a collection that was "a dreamy take on schoolgirl crushes and fairground iconography."

The brand launched five new groups which include the Alexa, "a twisted take on [Mulberry's] iconic Bayswater classic" that can be worn hand held, cross-body or on the shoulder; Hayden, a mix of shoulder bags, totes, and mini messengers in black, gingerbread and peony pink all accented with brass hardware detailing; and Beatrice, a range of slouchy, belted bags and oversized hobos and totes with contrast leather trim and heavy seam stitch detailing.
