September 17, 2009 was a date which will live in beauty infamy.

We were met with the tragic news that Estee Lauder is shuttering Prescriptives, the beloved 30-year-old skincare company.

In our unofficial survey around the office and on our comments board, the most soon-to-be-missed product is their citrusy fragrance, Calyx. One commenter summed it up well: "Oh lord no...Calyx is my absolute favorite scent. I cannot go on living...oh lord no."

Calyx fans, wipe away those tears - your beloved eau has been saved.

We just received word from the Prescriptives public relations team that Calyx will continue to be distributed through Aramis and Designer Fragrances, and sold at the fragrance bar in fine department stores and online beginning February 1.

So you can stop madly stockpiling your Calyx. But, unfortunately, we can't say the same about our beloved Magic Liquid Powder.

Now if you'll excuse us, we have some hoarding to do.
