GapKids and BabyGap Launch Fourth Annual Casting Call for New Faces

This year, Gap is teaming up with Disney Family.com on the nationwide search for new faces.
"Casting Call is one of our favorite programs and this year we wanted to make it bigger and better than ever," says Pam Wallack, president of babyGap, GapKids and GapMaternity.
To enter, check out the specially dedicated site from Sept. 22 to Oct. 22 for entry details. Babies four and under qualify for the babyGap division while kids ages five to 10 can compete for the GapKids campaign.
Twenty sure-to-be adorable babies and children (five boys and five girls in each category) will be selected as finalists who go on to the second round of voting by the public.
Starting December 7, voters can go to the Website to vote for their favorite. Gap has limited voters to one vote a day (we imagine that will help stop more than one doting grandma!).
There will be four winners, one boy and one girl from each division, that will be featured in Feburary 2010 campaigns.
But this year, the contest is also throwing in a democratic twist. There will be a "Fan's Favorite Award" for the first time, with voting by the public on their personal favorite from September 22 to November 17.
The "Fan Favorite" winner will be announced with the selected finalists on December 7 and will win a family vacay to Turks and Caicos or Jamaica -- talk about earning for the family early!
And while Lindsay Lohan may have given child models a bad rap -- La Lohan was a cute, freckly ad and commercial regular before making it big (or not) on film -- the early exposure could also do good. Look at the Olsen twins and their fashion empire!
Gap isn't the only company in search of new faces. Calvin Klein is looking for new male models for their trademark skivvies!

the Gap contest is real...the fan favorites from Disney is rigged.you will notice the children with the most votes all look alike and the little girl with almost 7000 votes in the lead is extremely overweight! you can try to get people to vote for your child Jayden P but if you go to fan favorites you will see your child has no chances at all of winning. some one is affiliated with the company and has found a way to get votes for everyone in the family, that is why when you go to galleries it pops up new entries instead of fan favorites as it does not want you to see how obvious it is that these children at the top are related...it is a joke, and ask anyone who has tried to vote for your child how long the process is to vote, signing up for Disney Family and the GAP,most people dont have the time.also what gave it away as a lot of us parents have picked up on what is going on,is on Friday these same children will have over 2000 new votes by Monday...we werent born yesterday and have contacted GAP,Disney, and the media,we are urging others to do the same...also Gap had the contest last year and Disney was not affiliated with it.

i totally agree with you stacey because one of the girls had 30,000 votes last night and i checked this morning and she has 36,000 votes. How did she get 6,000 votes overnight. It ridiculous.

Agreed, it's ridiculous. And we have sat and watched our cousins vote for our kids and then the votes never appeared. You can click on a most votes button and the leading child in the baby boy category has 10,000 votes... I mean really? 10,000? At this point, I'm just curious how they did it.

Your sign in site will not let me enter my name in the member section. After meny tries I entered my name without a space and it finally received it. My friends have had the same problem and could not sign in so they could vote, A notation should be put there to not enter a space between names. Thank you.
