Suri Cruise Wears Heels - Innocent Dress Up or Inappropriate?
Filed under: Accessories, CELEBRITY STYLE, Fashion, Celebrity

The two spent the day out and about, while Tom Cruise was in town shooting "Wichita."
We aren't sure if Suri was playing dress up with some new gear or if the mature footwear was part of her actual outfit for a stroll around the city -- we also spied the three-year-old wearing Keds the same day.
The previous day, Suri appeared to be wearing lipstick (or was her bright pink pout the result of a popsicle?).
So, what do you think: Little girl having fun with accessories or little girl looking a bit too mature for her age?
"It's perfectly normal for a little girl Suri's age to play dress up," says Susan Stiffelman, Family Therapist and ParentDish contributor.
"On the other hand, it's not a good idea to encourage a child this young to see herself as a young woman," Stiffelman adds.
"We're already seeing nine and 10-year-olds who won't go to 4th grade without blush and eye shadow."
"We're already seeing nine and 10-year-olds who won't go to 4th grade without blush and eye shadow."
Whether you're for or against Suri's shoes, it wouldn't be the first time a famous toddler raised eyebrows. Remember Angelina Jolie's son Maddox and his mohawk? Or Gwen Stefani's son Kingston with bleached hair?
What do you think? Weigh in on our poll and leave a comment below!

Working as an esthetician I always have people asking what they can do about their wrinkles and cellulite. For wrinkles I tell them about Beauty Lift ( TrulyFlawlessSkin.com ) and how it contains the most potent, doctor grade wrinkle erasing serum that revitalizes the skin and reduces signs of aging. It's much better, safer, and less expensive than Botox. They always come back to tell me how great it is and how much younger they look. It’s a great product and I back it up 100%.

She's a little girl playing dressup. I see nothing wrong with a 3 year old wanting to dress up like her mommy!

Heck, I played dress up when I was little...but NOT out and about on a shopping trip! Suri is going to be one whacked out kid, but then again, considering who her father is, she really doesn't have much of a chance,

Hannah, you are sooooo correct in your statement. I hope she doesn't become brainwashed, just like her father, Mr. Mind Control!!

I agree with you. She always dresses too old for her age, this is the first pictue I have ever seen in which neither of her parents is either carrying her or holding her hand. I have never seen a picture of her playing with another child, or just running around, and just wearing playclothes. Other stars -- the Jolie-Pitts, Garner-Afflecks, Stefani-Rothsdale, the Beckhams, et al -- all are shown in pictures with their kids playing and being kids. Poor Suri is always attached physically to one of her parents, generally (although not always) doing grown-up things, and doesn't seem to have a playmate of her own. You can't say it's a "star" thing, as evidenced by the names mentioned above. And re: this, I played with make-up and dress-up, too, but it was clear that it was play, and I wasn't allowed to go out like that. She seems like a miniature adult -- it seems very sad to me.

Hannah, so happy to know you're personally acquainted to Suri's dad; otherwise, you couldn't have made such a statement. But, most sane people would be glad to say you don't know us if that's the way you discuss people in your vast circle.

She's just a little kid and they wear what they want. I know -- I raised four.

Amen Hannah! Kids grow up fast enough. Let's not speed them along.

Absolutely - there is a time and a place. I cannot imagine that this child will have a normal life ever. Ditto for some of the other "star children". Sad.

Suri has always been a girlie girl so this is no shock. Let a girl have fun dressing up for the paps. She's a fashionista in the making, after all.

my little girl had a trunk full of dress up clothes. she had a pair of ruby slippers (think dorothy in the wizard of oz) and if she wanted to be fantasy dress up out and about, i let her. it turned out she developed a more preppy style in her teens and into her 20s, so let her be a girl. make up was only at home, but self expression goes hand in hand with good self esteem from my point of view! no one would even notice if she wasnt suri cruise!

I agree with you 100% Becky.

I agree too. There was a time when I was about that age that I'd have a fit if I didn't get to wear what I wanted, even outside the house. I went out in a few seriously goofy outfits, and probably had mom sweating that people might think SHE put that get-up on me, but she survived, I developed better fashion sense with age and civilization as we know it didn't end. Kids do that sometimes.

I was lucky enough to never have been overweight in my life. That all ended after the birth of my second child. I got down to 20 pounds over my normal weight but no matter what I did I couldn't lose the rest. I didn't know if was age catching up with me or if somehow my metabolism changed. Whatever the reason, nothing was working. I tried all the bogus "diet" pills that we see all over the internet, but are just scams. All I ever lost with that stuff was money. One of my friends, knowing what I was going through, told me that she had been losing weight using a special plan http://bit.ly/FatLoss4You It laid out the facts in a way I never saw before and had easy to follow meal plans and diets. Not only have I lost the weight and kept it off but I'm leading a healthier lifestyle, mostly from the knowledge I gained from this amazing program.

**** Does Suri ever smile? ever? I mean it. please someone tell me they have seen a pic of her smiling somewhere.
If not... well - we don't blame her for not smiling to paparazzi.
BUT- she could also have asperger's. straight face- no smile.
A thought.. not causing trouble here.
If she has ASP.. which parent has it then? Mom or Dad?
