If you're lucky you don't know what it's like to be the "fat friend", well that was me, and it isn't fun. I tried everything you ever heard of in an attempt to lose weight. I thik that Alba looks best in her natural hair color. Now here's aquestion for you. Why do a majority of women put polish on their toe nails, but not their finger nails? I first noticed this while working a fleamarket this past Summer.

Personally, when I put polish on my fingers it's chipping off and not very pretty a day later. Polish on toes, however, stays for what seems like forever.

I'm a woman who does that actually...it's more because you use your hands every day...nail polish chips off and becomes ugly faster and the upkeep is more tiresome. Toenail polish can last for a month or two.

Ah! I figured it would be something like that. Susan, if your gingernails were polished, wouldn't the smooth feel of the polish be a reminder not to chew/bite? Another question. Does the brand/color have anything to do with durability?

The reason SOME women have their toe nails polished but do not wear finger nail polish is because in the medical field most places do not allow it; it is unprofessional. Also those long painted fake nails are a big no no. Natural fingernails must be kept short and clean. It is difficult to put on a pair of gloves with 1 inch nails not to mention the scratching or poking you could possibly do to a patient.

I only get pedi's, no mani's. Mani's are a waste of my money since my hands are always pulling weeds, digging in my flower beds, washing dishes, etc.

I agree. She looks best as a brunette, but she also looks good as a red head. That blonde was awful on her. And John: I don't have a definative answer to your nail polish question, but my guess would be that polish on toes just lasts longer than polish on fingers, and is less likely to be removed due to changing colors to match an outfit. Just my two cents.
