According to WWD.com, an Ajman sheik has placed a bid to keep Lacroix's operations running. Word is not yet out on whether contracts have been signed, however, the story states.
Back in May, the fashion house was placed in a six-month period of administration, and although Lacroix says he's done everything to keep the line afloat, things have looked grim as the company was restructured, a bailout offer was rejected and Italian investment firm Borletti decided against making a firm offer.
According to Reuters, Hassan bin Ali al-Nuaimi, a nephew of the ruler of Ajman, part of the United Arab Emirates, will face offers from Bernard Krief Consultants and Financiere Saint-Germain holding company. Stay tuned!
