Fans of Nanette Lepore's distinctly feminine designs won't be disappointed with her new signature fragrance - simply called Nanette.

In an intimate gathering at the famous Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa on NYC's 5th Avenue, Lepore shared her thoughts on the new scent.

"The fragrance is rich and lush with a feminine, passionate side and an edgy side," she explained. Lepore worked tirelessly with esteemed perfumer Anne Flipo to concoct the perfect mixture of the fashion designer's favorite notes, and the result is a sensual floral-oriental appropriate to wear every day.

The top notes include sparkling pink pepper and neroli, with a middle of rose absolute and violet, and a deep dry down of amber, cedarwood and incense. "There's a mystery and mysticism to incense," says Nanette. "It's what give the fragrance its edge."

The bottle was inspired by a vintage bottle she bought in Florence. "Now this fragrance will always remind me of Florence," she says. "And I have my own personal fragrance I want people to remember me by."
