Coach Sues Target for Trademark Infringement... Again

After suing Target in 2006 for trademark infringement (that case was dismissed just three weeks after it was filed), the leather brand is after the mass retailer once again, reports WWD.
Coach filed a complaint Oct. 1 in the U.S. District Court in NYC alleging that Target sold knockoffs of its Patchwork and Ergo designs, says the source.
In the lawsuit, Coach is seeking an injunction against the Minnesota-based retailer for any further sales of the alleged copycat goods, as well as compensation for attorneys' fees and unspecified damages.
But Target may find comfort knowing that it isn't not the only one Coach is going after -- Brown Shoe Co. Inc, parent company of Naturalizer, was also accused of copying the "Ergo" pleated satchel (above) in June of this year, reports the site.
While Brown and Coach settled out of court, there's no word yet on whether Target will contest the suit.
In this industry, imitation is clearly not the highest form of flattery.

When you walk into our local Target you see a huge display with a stagecoach on the sign (Coach's emblem) and all of the latest coach styles but they are made of plastic and look like they were sewn by blind children. They should get their butts sued.

Your comment is very rude,I have been around blind people all my life and I know for a fact they can do almost anything any other person can do except drive.Some things even better.Also they are not as RUDE as SOME people.If you get my drift,which I doubt. it very much.

Who care's! Most Coach Bags are ugly anyway they look like something my grandma would carry ! If you're gonna spend that much on a bag at least go with something hot like D&G ,Guess,BCBG,Steve Madden,Jessica Simpson,D&B I mean really. GO TARGET!LMAO

My wife dragged me to the mall this past weekend. She was looking at a LV purse at SAKS. It was $1160.00. For a stinking purse! Sunday we went to the flea market and a lady was selling the same purse in a knock off for $35.00. Both purses looked the same accept the inside liner. The funny thing is that both came from China. A fool and their are soon parted
