Paula Deen's Beauty Secrets - Hot Steam and Chanel Cream

Paula Deen can dish out more than just southern comfort food -- in this month's issue of Allure magazine she gives us a glimpse into her beauty routine.

The chef, who's known for homestyle favorites like fried chicken and pork chops, also relies on a southern staple in her beauty regimen: false eyelashes. In fact, she tells Allure that she "wouldn't take out the trash without 'em."

And some would consider the secret behind her smooth, youthful skin an occupational hazard -- daily steam facials! "Still, the thing that has helped my skin more than anything is being in my kitchen, constantly looking down into deep, hot pots," explains Deen. "The steam and heat keep my pores clean."

Although Deen admits to not always taking off her makeup before bed, she tries to undo the damage by using $350 Chanel cream because "it just makes your skin feel so good." We're making an educated guess said cream is the brand's top-of-the-line Sublimage.

Deen might also be reaping the beauty benefits from eating fresh, unprocessed food on a daily basis -- even if her recipes do include heavy cream!

I was lucky enough to never have been overweight in my life. That all ended after the birth of my second child. I got down to 20 pounds over my normal weight but no matter what I did I couldn't lose the rest. I didn't know if was age catching up with me or if somehow my metabolism changed. Paula is such a sweetie! She wears me out just watching her...that is one BUSY woman. if I worked as hard as she does every day, I might be able to afford a $350 Chanel cream too. But I don't have that much energy...LOL!

First, I can't stand her, so I'll try to keep this unbiased:

1) She needs some skin bleach and retin-A on that clavicle area. UUUGGGHHH!!!! How ugly and sun damaged. Looks like her plastic surgeon would take care of that.

2) She's not attractive, so why call her a "beauty maven", whatever that is?

3) That hair....yuk.

4) I'm from the South, but I didn't know false eyelashes were a "southern staple" as this article states. Most of us down there don't need false anything.

5) Her skin is not clear and pure. It's artificially treated. Anyone could look skinfresh if they used $350 face cream.

6) She's a dog anyway you look at her. And a cornpone. Not much class.

People that live in glass houses, shouldn't throw stones. I have met Paula in person and she is a very nice person. What you see on TV is what you get in public. I ran into her at a store and didnt even know who she was at the time, we starting talking. She is a super nice person and not fake at all. My sister told me who she was after she left the store.
Don't judge unless you too want to be judged.,Don't throw that stone.

I think she is gorgeous! She is a brilliant business woman who worked hard and instilled a wonderful work ethic in her sons. She sacrificed a lot to support her family and realize her dream. She is a great mother and grandmother and I am glad to see she has been additionally blessed to finally find love in her wonderful Michael. May God continue to bless you and your family!

Oh AMEN Diane!! What a spiteful miserable person to say such things about a total stranger. I have never seen Paula display anything but grace. I have always thought she was just beautiful, and I love her familial relationships. Her sons display love for her and so does her husband. She is blessed and gives every impression that she should be. Personally, until Barbra Walters little fiasco, I never heard a negative word about Paula. We all know what a bitter, self entitled hag Ms. Walters is.
