But it wasn't the first time Halliwell wore the low-cut, iridescent gown.
She also wore it to the Vanity Fair Oscar after party in 2002 (right).
Hey, if Anna Wintour can recycle dresses, then anyone can.
So tell us: What do you think of this recession-chic trend? Is it about time celebs did this, or do you think it's tacky? Leave a comment below!

Who Wore it Best?
Polish Model Anja Rubik wore a familiar black and white belted Gucci dress at an amfAR charity dinner in Milan, Italy on September 28, 2009. We spotted the frock on actress Evan Rachel Wood back in June at the Hollywood Life Young Hollywood Awards in Santa Monica, California.

"Gossip Girl" star Leighton Meester wore a white belted Proenza Schouler jumpsuit on a trip to The Late Show with David Letterman on September 8, 2009. Back in July, actress Chloe Sevigny sported a black leather version at a party for A Magazine.

Sienna Miller stepped out in New York City on August 18, 2009 wearing a skirt from her own line, Twenty8Twelve. Rihanna wore the same one while shopping at The Grove this summer in West Hollywood.

At the Melrose Place launch in LA on August 22, 2009, Daphne Zuniga wore a crinkled blue Nicole Miller dress...the same one Paris Hilton wore to the launch of her sunglass collection back on March 27th in New York City.

Kim Kardashian arrived at the Teen Choice Awards on August 9, 2009 in a little white Stella McCartney dress. Back in April, singer LeAnn Rimes hit the 44th annual Academy Of Country Music Awards in the same getup--but the country singer went for black, instead.

Ashlee Simpson wore this Gap boyfriend blazer with blue jeans and black and white sandals to the 1969 Jean Shop launch event on August 6 in West Hollywood, California. Demi Moore was spotted in California wearing the same blazer over a bright orange cardigan with cuffed jeans and flats just five days earlier.

Angelina Jolie made her leather-clad return in this black strapless Michael Kors dress paired with strappy Dior sandals at the Los Angeles premiere of "Inglorious Basterds" on August 10. But we remember Gossip Girl's Blake Lively rocking a hot pink wool version back on June 15 at the CFDA Fashion Awards in New York City with nude Christian Louboutin peep-toe pumps.

Elle Macpherson took to the streets of Manhattan to film "The Beautiful Life" on August 11 in this gray Victoria Beckham "Carmontelle" sheath. The model-actress finished the look with huge sunglasses and pointy toe pumps. But Victoria wore the same cashmere-blend dress to shoot her Fall 2009 ad campaign in London, England on July 23. Her "posh" look included dark shades, her signature pout, and sky-high heels.

Cameron Diaz looked svelte in this gray curve-hugging Alexander McQueen dress paired with electric blue Pierre Hardy heels at the "Teen Choice Awards" in California on August 9. Anna Paquin showed off curves in a black version of the McQueen cheongsam with its contrast zip piping detail for an appearance on the "Late Show with David Letterman" in New York City on July 16. The True Blood star finished her look with a chic updo and Jimmy Choo slingbacks.

Mischa Barton was spotted on the set of "The Beautiful Life" in New York City wearing this Versace embellished mini dress with studded ankle boots on August 10. Gwyneth Paltrow wore the shiny metallic mini with a Burberry cardigan and tights at the Grammys in Los Angeles, CA on February 8.

I’m a working mom so I’m always on the go. Lack of sleep and constant stress meant I had noticeable dark circles under my eyes as well as puffiness and swelling. After using Hydrolyze Under Eye Treatment ( http://Hydrolyze.notlong.com ) for 4 weeks I no longer need to use concealer under my eyes every morning. Friends and colleagues have been telling me I look 10 years younger!

I was lucky enough to never have been overweight in my life. That all ended after the birth of my second child. I got down to 20 pounds over my normal weight but no matter what I did I couldn't lose the rest. I didn't know if was age catching up with me or if somehow my metabolism changed. Whatever the reason, nothing was working. I tried all the bogus "diet" pills that we see all over the internet, but are just scams. All I ever lost with that stuff was money. One of my friends, knowing what I was going through, told me that she had been losing weight using a special plan http://bit.ly/FatLoss4You It laid out the facts in a way I never saw before and had easy to follow meal plans and diets. Not only have I lost the weight and kept it off but I'm leading a healthier lifestyle, mostly from the knowledge I gained from this amazing program

I work in a modeling agency and the only way that our models over age 22 are able to get down to their weight for bathing suit shoots is by using a fat burning/detox/cleanse. This is the one that we find works the best http://cli.gs/WeightLossCleanse I'm far from a model myself but it's been helping me lose 5-8 pounds a month and I have never felt better in my life. http://cli.gs/WeightLossCleanse

Y'know, I used to have SO many problems when it came to having sex. Every time my lover du jour found out I had a HUGE dick, they'd run screaming for the door and refuse to even TALK to me again!! And using public bathrooms was no fun, either. I'd get ALL kinds of strange looks and people in the bathroom would make rude comments about how much noise I was making, and I was just trying to pee! And the worst part is having to deal with it falling into that COLD water if I wasn't careful!! But, once I discovered www.dickaway.com, all my troubles were over! Just one visit to my "therapist" and I no longer have that problem! (-: Now, I don't have to worry about the cold water OR the noise in the bathroom any more and now I have NORMAL dates, just all of the other girls!! Thanks a LOT, dickaway!!

It's about time celebs starting wearing clothes more than once! I could care less if it is not the norm among celebs, I think it is so absurd that it has been a "rule" to wear something once. What a travesty to know their are people who can't afford clothes and they can't wear it more than once? SHAME! Plus, on the lighter side, isn't there something they wore that they just loved and can't wait to wear again like most humans?? I give more respect to the ones who break that shameful "rule" and wear things more than once.....

I applaud her for maintaining her weight for all those years. Most women can't wear their old wardrobes. Nothing wrong with her wearing the dress, its still very stylish and looks good on her.

I think you mean "I couldn't care less" , not " I could care less", anyway grammar lesson aside, I agree. This looks great on her, actually better 7 years later and anyone should be proud of that.

Ellen,
While you're out giving grammar lessons, maybe you could pick up a life.
Erin 10-09-2009 @ 12:45AM
B, it probably took less time for Ellen to "give out grammar lessons" than it did for you to come up with a witty reply and post your own comment, so I think that leaves you in the same "get a life" department, but that's just me. I personally don't think that the comments left by either one of you implies "no life" but while you're giving out pointless insults to total strangers, I figured I may as well point out that you are, in fact, a hypocrite. It is just the internet, chill out.
P.S. The reason for that little "grammar lesson" was most likely because there was an article about it a few links prior to this one, with the exact same phrase, and Ellen probably read that one too. So cool it!
Krissy 10-09-2009 @ 7:57AM
lol...i read that grammar lesson too!
debbie 10-08-2009 @ 8:33PM
if the media would get off their backs i think they should if they want too.... why not???? especially if they are comfortable in it and look good....... good grief everyone take a chill pill!!!

Ellen, aren't you the smart one? Why not wear them again and again. We poor folks do. Did I get it right ELLEN?

Who cares? If you like it, wear it again and good for Geri that the dress still fits.

It's smart to wear clothes until they begin to "show" signs of wear. We live in a "throw away society" and need to get our priorities straight. Congradulations to the ladies who dare to do it. You are our new heroes.

The dress is gorgeous and she still looks terrific in it. What did you expect her to do, donate it to the Salvation Army after wearing it once? Then you'd be trashing her for being frivolous!

I think the author of this article is getting paid for doing absolutely NOTHING. Get a job with a little substance will you.
She wears the same dress 7 years later...good greif.
