Prada Lays Off Workers - Temporarily

Here's one way to combat the recession: Lay off workers, um, temporarily.
Prada SpA agreed with the Italian work union CGIL to lay off 250 workers for brief periods at a time with the support of public funds, reports WWD.
Called "Cassa Integrazione," the plan will cover the luxury company's largest accessories production plant -- so, really, saving the "It" bag -- for periods of four to six weeks when production is slow.
During these work suspensions, the Italian government will pay up to 80% of the worker's incomes, says the site. Not too shabby for a month's break from work!
Prada isn't the only luxury fashion company to feel the economic pinch. This recent survey finds that even the wealthy aren't so into pricey goods of late.

I lost my job in early December. It was the first time in my life that I was unemployed from a job. We have 3 young children and I can't even begin to describe the feeling I had knowing that I had no income and couldn't find a job. A friend of mine told me that he was doing well working full time on an internet based home business . He told me that there were hundreds of thousands of people making a full time living that way. That was all well and good but I didn't have any money to invest and I knew I didn't have the skills that would be needed. He sent me this link to this web site ( http://IncomeStreams.notlong.com ) and told me to check out this system. It was my Christmas miracle because with virtually no investment I got in the game. Now I'm making much more money than I ever have and, believe it or not, I'm now working less time everyday than I used to spend commuting back and forth to my old job.

so what i work agco and six month ago we were pushed 6 or 7 days a week to make more and more and more. now we are all standing around waiting to find out if we will be layed off for 6 week starting in november. yeah merry christmas to you too. too sad about bad management and the ability to love money and profit so much that they can afford to not give a damn about 1200+ employees and there family

Those prices for the Prada bags are ridiculous! I love my B. MAKOWSKY bags. They're made with thick, soft leather, beautiful details and they're a lot cheaper than Pradas' bags and you get a lot of bag for your money. I get mine at Marshalls, so the price is even better. The prices in the department stores are too expensive for me, but I discovered this designer at Marshalls, and I'm very glad I did. His bags are great!
