Smoky Eyes Considered Cool by 77% of Young American Women

Runway favorites like red lips and smoky eyes are trends we see every season, and now some of these classic looks have been substantiated by a new survey asking women what eye makeup they consider to be "cool."
Seventy seven percent called smudgy, smoky eyes cool, but only 27% liked false eyelashes. Nearly one in three love retro looks - specifically hot-for-now 80s-inspired colored mascaras and 60s-inspired cat eye liner.
This "Eye on Cool" survey was conducted by Harris Interactive for ROHTO cooling eye drops in an online survey.
Conversely, 67% of U.S. women in the U.S. think "no eye makeup at all" is a cool eye trend. Which, we're happy to say, is a look most of use rock every morning.
Are you a fan of the smoky eye but have no clue how to score it yourself? Try this online tutorial with Carmindy, star makeup expert from 'What Not To Wear,' for easy tips on smoking up your look.
Beauty Basics: Smoky Eyes Step-by-Step
A perfect smoky eye is like the Holy Grail of beauty. "It's the most asked question that I get," says makeup artist Carmindy.
Luckily, it looks much harder than it really is. Follow Carmindy's 6 easy steps, and you'll have a smoldering gaze in minutes.

STEP 1: Eyeliner on Upper Lashes
The first step is always black eye liner. Carmindy recommends a gel liner because it has great slip. Just smudge it along the entire upper lash line, creating a dark line all the way from the inner corner to the outer corner.
Carmindy's Tip: Gel liner can be a challenge to sharpen. Many women just shove it in their sharpener and go really hard. Instead, take it slow and easy - do one turn and then pull it out. To perfect the point, take a paper towel, stick the tip of the liner in it, lightly grasp it with your finger and twist. Or, If you have time, stick your liner in the fridge to make it colder before sharpening to harden it up a little but.

STEP 2: Dark Eye Shadow
Carmindy uses 3 different eye shadows - a dark shade, a medium shade and a pale, iridescent highlighter. First, apply a dark shade across the lid from the lash line to the crease.

STEP 3: Shade Lower Lashes
Apply that same dark shadow underneath the bottom lash line, using an angle brush. The angle brush will blend the shadow, so you won't have the harsh look of a heavy eyeliner.

STEP 4: Crease Color
Next, apply the crease color. Choose a color that's lighter than the base shadow, but still in a smoldering tone - a lighter gray or a taupe works well. Use a shadow brush to apply the color in the crease and just above it, from the inner to the outer corner.

STEP 5: Highlight
The last eye shadow step is the highlighter. This step is key because it ties everything in. Apply it right underneath the eyebrows, and at the inner corners of the eyes.

STEP 6: Mascara
Polish it all off with black mascara. To get a perfect, clump-free application, Carmindy recommends holding the wand vertically, brushing it back and forth across the lashes.

FINISHED LOOK
And there you have it: Sexy, smoldering, smoky eyes, in six easy steps. Since the eyes are strong, pair the look with light blush and natural lips.

The thing that I found most unattractive about my face as I got older were the dark circles under my eyes. I tried everything I could to get rid of them but nothing ever worked. I got tired of seeing all the scam ads on TV for skin care products that don't work so I started dong some research about my problem on the internet and I discovered that dark circles around and underneath eye area is not usually caused by a lack of sleep, instead the membrane in that area (a vascular rich zone) of skin is readily susceptible to discoloration (usually dark or pink). I found a great product ( http://youramazingeyes.com ) that contains Haloxyl which is a new ingredient combination that has shown great promise and results in lowering the darkness of color in the under eye area. This cream is natural based so no pore clogging ingredients like mineral oil will make the problem worse. The ingredients in this natural based skin care cream are all about stimulating the pooling blood in the area under and around the eyes. This is one of the main causes of dark circles.
The very thin and fine layers of skin are pumped full of skin thickening ingredients to help maximize the cell wall to decode the see through color for the skin in that area. It also helps to firm the skin around the eyes and reduce puffiness. Extremely good for a great all around look. http://youramazingeyes.com
One of the reported side effects (there are only good side effects with this cream) is that puffiness and bags under the eyes are reduced in appearance drastically making this one of the best all around eyes cream in general not to mention for the afore mentioned problems.
As mentioned above the causes can vary a little but for most the same three causes of both under eye puffiness, bags under the eyes and of course dark circles are lack of blood flow, pooling blood, thinning or thin skin and leaking of blood in the very veinous tissue. All of these can be helped tremendously with the absolute best under eye treatment that includes peptides, skin thickeners and much more all in a natural base.

I have always been very afraid of aging, you know, becoming old and useless and unattractive. When I turned 50, I decided to do something about it. I've spent fortunes on face creams and anti-aging serums… but using GenFX is the first time I've tried turning back the clock from the inside out. It's also the last time I'll spend a fortune on face creams! Now everyone says I look 35! http://tiny.cc/GenFX

We spend a fortune on looking good, clothing, makeup, cars, etc. I can tell you that the easiest and cheapest way to look good is to lose weight. Lookin' good is well worth the effort. I lost 47 pounds in 6 weeks using the Rapidthin diet at www.rapidthin.com. Good luck to all. Use what works for you.

I think less "smoky" and a less made up look is better. I know that I look better now that I have lost weight and wear less make up and just look healthier.
Over the last 3 years I lost 50 pounds by eating less, avoiding processed foods and walking for at least 20 minutes every day. I also allow myself "treats" and never let myself feel deprived. One cookie won't kill you...a box of oreos followed by a pint of ice cream on the other hand is not the best choice!
Walking is the best exercise and overall toner. My stomach is tighter, my legs and butt are more toned and I simply feel better. It does not require a gym membership, a trainer or any equipment. I wear smartsole exercise insoles http://www.smartsole.com . They are anti cellulite insoles that help you tone muscles, increase circulation and cause you to burn more calories with every step. So you are getting a work out and toning your legs and butt even when just running errands.
I read about them in Prevention mag in an article on exercise shoes and they are a fabulous way to get toned for those of us with crazy schedules. They listed the code jm10 to save 10% off.

Your Smokey Eyes Model is gorgeous with or without Smokey eyes make-up. It will be interesting to see how this make-up trend will show up in the general population. It might be fun.

She has a wide open smile like a Tickle Me Plant before it is Tickled. It instantly closes up when Tickled and the branches even droop. Then minutes later it opens again ready to be tickled. See the video and grow your own to understand and enjoy. http://tiny.cc/Ticklemeplant
