We're going through our jewelry boxes after a new poll has revealed that British Women are sitting on more than £26 billion (or about $41.5 billion US) worth of unused jewelry, England's Daily Express reports.

Yep, according to the survey conducted by insurer Sheilas' Wheels, those broken baubles, busted watches, discarded door-knocker earrings, old love tokens and other forgotten bling makes up for 65 percent of the £40.5 billion jewelry stockpile owned by British women, the paper reports.

If that seems like an extraordinary amount, just think of all the loot Queen Elizabeth must has stashed in her jewelry box. And don't get us started on Elton John.

The poll reportedly also found that one in six women wears just 1 percent of her jewelry collection, and that 37 percent hang on to old earrings.

Now, if anyone needs us, we'll be at the pawn shop. Think they take old slap bracelets?
