Runway Review - JMS Just My SIze

DESIGNER: The JMS Just My Size design team, led by creative director Janet Freedman, who is also a plus-size shopper.

INSPIRATION: Creating "trend-right styles and season-less classics at a value" for the plus-size shopper.

"Watch out skinny women, you can't wear our clothes -- they're just my size. We're celebrating our curves," cried JMS creative director Janet Freedman, as she kicked off the start of the show, held in the company's New York City showroom.

TOP LOOKS: There were great looking blouses that were fitted in a way where they skimmed the models' bodies without being too tight or revealing for spring/summer, as well as a very pretty cap-sleeve V-neck dress in a taupe and white scroll print.

WHAT WE THOUGHT: This sportswear collection, which will be carried exclusively in more than 3,500 Walmart stores across the country with new collections arriving monthly, seems like a huge undertaking.

And it is -- as outfit after outfit came down the catwalk, you had to wonder what their customer has been buying, or rather, what they'll stop buying in order to purchase these new items, remarkably priced between $6 and $22, with the bulk falling around $15.

The holiday offerings, available in-store immediately, included sweaters, leggings, jeans and trousers that were more on the casual side. The spring and summer bits were more diverse. Casual pants, Capris, full skirts, shorts and cargo pants were shown with a plethora of knit tops and the aforementioned blouses.

Some of the best looks were the beaded maxi dresses shown as the finale. Unbelievably, with the beading, these dresses were still only $18.

The best item, though, has to be the Fit Solution/Tummy Control trousers. They come with a liner that is almost like a pair of bike shorts.

"It adds support and helps the drape of the pants. It helps make you look the best you can by enhancing your body shape," Freedman explained.

And who doesn't want that?
