Reese Witherspoon is InStyle's newest cover girl, and boy is she one hot mama.

For her InStyle photo spread, shot by Mark Abrahams in Los Angeles, the down-to-earth actress rocks several body-hugging silhouettes, while mixing more expensive pieces by Alexander Wang and Brian Reyes with affordable contemporary brands like Aldo and DKNY.

The high-low mix also includes a few of-the-moment boyfriend blazers, thrown over more feminine dresses.

In the article accompanying the fashion shoot, Witherspoon discusses her new perfume, In Bloom, developed with Avon, among other revealing topics.

"Gardenias were important too, because every Mother's Day or on my birthday my father would buy small bouquets or corsages for my mother and me. While we were working on the perfume, Avon asked me if I could explore other notes, but I kept going back to white flowers! The packaging reminds me of my grandma's bureau, where she'd have little perfume bottles out. I love it."

Naughty and nice. Witherspoon cinched and proper in a vibrant Brian Reyes dress and gold Sid Vintage earrings; Playing the vamp in Alexander Wang's black paneled dress, Aldo lace-up heels, Roxanne Assoulin for Lee Angel necklace and Dannijo cuffs. Photo: Mark Abrahams for InStyle.

While Witherspoon can't give her children the same storybook Southern childhood that she had, she said she and boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal try to do their best in Los Angeles.

"We spend the weekends outside L.A, in Ojai, where I have a farmhouse," she tells InStyle. "We have chickens and we grow cucumbers and tomatoes. I love it. It reminds me of where I grew up in Tennessee."

The 33-year-old actress also waxes poetic about aging and living in the present.

"As you get older, you know what you like and what you don't like, and you're not apologetic about it... I used to judge myself so harshly -- I think women in their 20s do. You're hard on your body, you're hard on yourself. But you start to realize that none of it is really all that important," she says.

"As long as you're comfortable, the best parts of yourself come through no matter what. Your mother can tell you that a million times, but you don't understand it until you live it!"
