Hips forward. Shoulders back.
Remember: Every man wants you, and every woman wants to be you.
Such are the wise words of Drew Linehan, former America's Next Top Model guest judge and founder of Trew Productions, a model booking agency in New York City. I met Drew once upon a time when I was a journalist and he booked fashion shoots at Mirabella and Marie Claire.
When it comes to modeling, he really knows his stuff. So who better to teach teach us some slinky runway moves?
Why? Because the Purple Lab mantra is to feel empowered, strong, and sexy, and a little self self-modeling for me and my girls helps punctuate that.
"The main thing is feeling comfortable with who you and and confident with what you're presenting," he says.
Watch the video to see Linehan give us modeling tips, and read on for more catwalking advice after the jump.
You know that swivel-y action at the end of the runway by the papazzi pen? Not as easy as it looks. You have to distribute your weight on your feet just - as if you're showing off the inside seam of the leg of your pants - and then give your shoulders a slight turn ("a little 'huh,'" Drew says in a sort of magnified fun way a la Ru Paul).
There were two small wipe outs in our walk-off (and I'm not naming any names but it may have been the fault of Pierre Hardy's five inch heels).
No runway in your life? Make one - the sidewalk, the street, the subway platform.
Armed with your best shoes and attitude, just imagine a string at the crown of your head, pulling you up, and another string at the hips, pulling you forward. Give your arms a nice little swing (you never want them still as you move - too robotic).
Don't smile too much (models are never that accessible). And lean back ever so slightly (it's modeling, not ballet - you should almost be at a 45-degree angle as you sashay).
And finally: own it, own it, own it! Give your walk your own identity, your own personality. Naomi has one. Gisele has one. Carmen has one. Find yours... even if you sprain your ankle along the way.
Mwah!

I was lucky enough to never have been overweight in my life. That all ended after the birth of my second child. I got down to 20 pounds over my normal weight but no matter what I did I couldn't lose the rest. I didn't know if was age catching up with me or if somehow my metabolism changed. Whatever the reason, nothing was working. I tried all the bogus "diet" pills that we see all over the internet, but are just scams. All I ever lost with that stuff was money. One of my friends, knowing what I was going through, told me that she had been losing weight using a special plan that she found at this web site Http://bit.ly/FatLoss4You It laid out the facts in a way I never saw before and had easy to follow meal plans and diets. Not only have I lost the weight and kept it off but I'm leading a healthier lifestyle, mostly from the knowledge I gained from this amazing program.

I do a lot of TV and modeling work. My business is all about looks and how to look perfect at any time, and any place. I’m not young anymore and this is now harder than ever. I thought my career was almost over but GenFX™ is my secret weapon. Quite honestly, I look 10 years younger than my real age!

As a make-up artist I know how important lips are to any woman, whether supermodel or super-mom. I'm therefore always up for trying something new, but after being disappointed with the performance of other lip plumpers I was not expecting too much from Cushy Lips ( Http://tiny.cc/CushyLips) . I owe it to my clients though to keep up to date on new cosmetics so I gave it a shot anyways. I have to say it without a doubt outperforms any other lip plumper of its type on the market. It does really visibly increase the size and softness of your lips, and it has a very pleasant texture to it. When I did the make-up for a photo-shoot last week I used Cushy Lips on the models, and afterwards all of them wanted to know what I had used on them so they could go out and buy it as well.Http://tiny.cc/CushyLips
