Beauty School Bailout - Federal Stimulus Money for Florida Cosmetology Schools

According to the The Washington Examiner, The Department of Education has distributed roughly 2.3 million in federal stimulus money to eight cosmetology and massage schools in the Tampa Bay, Florida area.
The money was given in the form of Pell grants to pay tuition for masseuses, hairdressers and manicurists, and does not have to be repaid.
The conservative Examiner, a daily paper in Washington, DC, is outraged, saying "Vocational school is important, sure, but we had no idea that beauty school was considered 'shovel ready.'"
Us, we think it's pretty cool - If stimulus money is being allocated to mainstream colleges - US News & World Report says that the stimulus bill included a several-hundred dollar increase in Pell grants, which is the biggest federal grant awarded to low-income students - why should massage and cosmetology schools be excluded?
Afterall, Beauty School is booming - In June we reported that Empire Beauty Schools, the country's biggest cosmetology educator, has experienced a whopping 33 percent increase in enrollment since 2007.
What do you think? Should beauty schools get bailout dollars? Leave a comment and let us know!

Working as an esthetician I always get people asking what they can do about their wrinkles and cellulite. For wrinkles I tell them about Ultra Lift Http://tiny.cc/UltraLift and how it is an incredible anti-aging, anti-wrinkle cream that contains the most potent, doctor grade, wrinkle erasing ingredients that tone and tighten the skin for a smoother, younger face. It's much better, safer, and less expensive than Botox. They always come back to tell me how great it is and how much younger they look. It’s a great product and I back it up 100%.

Like most other people my wife and I are making less this year than we did the past few years. We decided to go through all of our expenses to see where we could save money. An obvious place was insurance since we were spending so much on life, auto and health insurance and we felt we could get lower prices for. First I decided to check out life insurance and was surprised to find out at ( Http://LifeInsuranceWizards.com ) that rates had actually gone down quite a bit. I ended up with a new policy with MetLife that saved me over a thousand dollars a year. Since that worked out so well I did some research and found ( Http://cli.gs/AllInsuranceQuotes ) a web site that was able to get me quotes from just about every great health insurance plan. Unbelievably I ended up with a better health insurance plan than the one we had and still saved a little over $200 a month!!!! Then I found this web site ( Http://insurancediscountcentral.com ) where I was able to get free comparative auto insurance quotes without having to be bothered by any insurance agents. We ended up saving almost $900 for our 2 cars. So for less than a half hour of my time I will be saving about $4200 a year. In this economy that's REAL money.

I was lucky enough to never have been overweight in my life. That all ended after the birth of my second child. I got down to 20 pounds over my normal weight but no matter what I did I couldn't lose the rest. I didn't know if was age catching up with me or if somehow my metabolism changed. Whatever the reason, nothing was working. I tried all the bogus "diet" pills that we see all over the internet, but are just scams. All I ever lost with that stuff was money. One of my friends, knowing what I was going through, told me that she had been losing weight using a special plan that she found at this web site Http://bit.ly/FatLoss4You It laid out the facts in a way I never saw before and had easy to follow meal plans and diets. Not only have I lost the weight and kept it off but I'm leading a healthier lifestyle, mostly from the knowledge I gained from this amazing program.
