That is the day GapKids and BabyGap by Stella McCartney hits select stores in the US, Canada and online; and Nov.3 for stores in the UK, France, Ireland and Japan.
However, New Yorkers can get a special sneak preview of the collection on Friday, Oct. 30, starting at 9 am, when Stella Gap will be available in the "White Space" adjacent to the the chain's flagship store at 680 Fifth Avenue (between 53rd and 54th streets) in Manhattan.
Through this partnership with Gap, McCartney -- known for her animal-friendly, namesake designs and partnerships with Adidas and H&M -- is venturing into the realm of babies and children's clothing for the first time.
The lines, for newborns and kids through size 12, reflect McCartney's sense of what she thinks children should wear (she has three kids of her own), as well as her own design aesthetic.
"For years now I've wanted to create a collection for kids," McCartney said in a release. "I think it has a mix of the playful and practical. There are pieces that are classic and sort of timeless and hopefully very chic, mixed with more playful and a little bit cooler pieces. It's really exciting for us to do a boys and girls collection with Gap for the first time.
"I believe that this one-off collaboration will be a great way for customers to be able to participate in the Stella McCartney brand."
And having her own children gave her an instant focus group, leading to cool things like monster and superhero T-shirts, white "sketching" sneakers that kids can customize with the accompanying markers, pajamas in a dinosaur-print bag, organic jeans and tutu skirts in multiple colors.
In fact, there are several items in the children's collection, specifically a leopard decorated sweater dress, skinny grey jeans and a grey cardigan dress that were included in McCartney's Fall '09 RTW collection.
However, these pieces -- ranging from $14 to $128 -- are much more affordable than her women's offerings, . "I believe that kids clothing should be more accessibly priced, which is particularly important at the moment given the current climate," she said.
And given the continuing climate (and an incredible deal), we predict there will be a whole lot of adults trying to squeeze into the bigger kids sizes!

I have a few dogs and cats and I wouldn't consider feeding them anything but Life's Abundance pet food, it is holistic human quality food and with the finest ingredients you can buy anyplace. There is no corn, wheat, dairy, by-products, artificial colors or flavors in Life's Abundance. I buy it at Http://tiny.cc/HealthyPets It is made in small batches and shipped out fresh, directly to my house, not stored in warehouses, for who knows how long, like the commercial brands. I know that it is made in a USDA certified APHIS plant so I know they will never be any recalls because of contaminated ingredients. I love our pets too much to serve them less

Working as an esthetician I always get people asking what they can do about their wrinkles and cellulite. For wrinkles I tell them about Ultra Lift Http://tiny.cc/UltraLift and how it is an incredible anti-aging, anti-wrinkle cream that contains the most potent, doctor grade, wrinkle erasing ingredients that tone and tighten the skin for a smoother, younger face. It's much better, safer, and less expensive than Botox. They always come back to tell me how great it is and how much younger they look. It’s a great product and I back it up 100%.
