Sanjana Jon, designer and sister of convicted rapist Anand Jon, put on a fashion show entitled "Fashion With a Heart" in New Delhi to support her incarcerated brother.

However, things got crazy when she invited some of the biggest Bollywood celebrities onto the runway to show off her creations (many in sibling pairs), including mega-star Salman Khan, who sent fans and press into a tizzy after the show ended, causing a mini stampede, reports Sify News.

The show was a part of Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week and showcased several of Sanjana's designs made from traditional Indian saris, as well as a more modern minidress and men's denim.

Sanjana's name on the India Fashion Week schedule caused a stir in the local fashion community because, supposedly, her work as a designer was relatively unknown, according to the paper.

And her show itself didn't win rave reviews from at least one fellow designer, Rahul Jain of label Sirali.

"Even though Sanjana is a friend, I would say the clothes were horrible," Jain said. "We designers put in days of creativity and hard work into our designs and then there is this sort of a show -- happening only for the money and the star power. This is just so unfair."

In addition to the publicity-raising fashion show, Sanjana has set up the site AnandJon.com and has been outspoken about supposed racial profiling in her brother's case. She also made headlines when one of the jurors in her brother's case attempted to have a romantic relationship with her.

Anand Jon is currently serving the first of 59 years in prison. Read more about the case.
