Michael Jackson's 'This Is It' Movie Opens Today

Michael Jackson's "This Is It" hits theatres today. That is, if you weren't up late last night for the 9pm Los Angeles or midnight New York City screenings.

The 121-minute film features behind-the-scenes footage of Michael Jackson preparing for his would-be tour, which was slated to kick off in London this summer.

The film is being produced with the full support of Michael's estate, so we can only assume his family is involved in the project -- and happy with the results.

In fact, good friend Elizabeth Taylor hailed the film, telling US Weekly it was "the single most brilliant piece of filmmaking" she's ever seen and urging fans to "memorize it."
