Pointy Bras Are Back!

A spokesperson from John Lewis chalks up the revival of 1950s and 1980s-style protruding undergarments to the tough economy:
"Throughout the last century the trend for feminine pointy shaped bras experienced a renaissance following times of a toughened economy, marking a return of unabashed femininity as women seek to have more fun with fashion as a form of escapism," quotes the source.
With pointy bras back in the mix, does this mean that a curvier figure is also in style? Fingers crossed!
However, not everyone is for a fuller physique. Mark Fast's use of "normal-sized" models on the runway caused drama with the show's stylist and casting director.

Its really funny that the story is about an 80s trend making a comeback, but yet they use a picture of Marilyn Monroe from the 50s or the 60s....WTF??? I guess it explains a little over the media doing such a poor poor job of late...they cant even get a picture and relate it to a certain time frame...how on Earth could we expect them to provide us correctly with such important events as the State of the Union????

How on Earth do you compare the musings of a fad and style writer with that of a real journalist? Another rightie with his head planted firmly up the rear of the RNC.
what;s your point 11-05-2009 @ 5:54PM
That isn't a pointy bra that Marilyn has on. Those are her pointy nipples.
Pointy bras are ugly!

80's trend?? other than Madonna on stage, I never seen pointy bras in the 80's. I would call it a 50's trend as observed by the photo of Marilyn Monroe, perhaps even early 60's. 80's my arse. If you can not write an article without such blatant mistakes... perhaps its best to find another line of work, but then again....it is AOL.
