LOOM AND GLOOM IN HIGH FASHION
Versace and Barney's just did a round of layoffs. Luella Bartley and is going bust and of course, there was Christian Lacroix saga. Now, rumors are now swirling that Gucci and Zac Posen maybe the next to send out the shocking pink slip to employees. While reps for both businesses had no comment, those pesky industry "insiders" are saying its unfortunately so.

WHO'S WEARING THE PANTS?
It seems no one is wearing the pants these days! So how did this bottom baring trend come to be? The Frisky has provided us with a time line, chronicling the drawers droppers of the past, present and future. Turns out, Madonna and Gaga weren't the first to run, um,would we say pants free? Good job, but where are Edie Sedgewick and Sienna Miller on that chart?

GOIN' BACK TO BOLLY
Maybe we should be paying more attention to India Fashion Week. A return to traditional Indian designs like sari-style draping, lotus flower prints and bold colors unlike the Western styles of past seasons has foreign buyers jumping on the beautified band wagon. While Indian domestic interest is still there, it seems the overseas retail crowd is opening their wallets a bit more than in the past.
