Three of the top VS Angels, Karolina Kurkova, Adriana Lima and Heidi Klum will not be walking the runway this year due to recent or current baby bumps. However, Klum is set to host the show.
Without these three sexy supermodel regulars, pressure is on to fill the coveted spots.
And apparently, one is now taken -- Liu Wen will reportedly strut her (skivvy-clad) stuff as the first Asian model to appear in a Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, according to Modelinia.
Accompanying Wen on the catwalk will be the five fresh models VS is focusing on (and possibly naming as new Angels), including Chanel Iman, who will be featured prominently in the show and is already starring in ads for the company.
Check back with StyleList for the full story, including interviews with the leggy ladies where we'll reveal if any of the newbies earned their wings.
And make sure to tune in to the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, airing December 1 on CBS, to see the sultry strutters in various states of undress.
In the meantime, read up on the Victoria's Secret "Runway Angel" contest which grants one aspiring model the chance to appear alongside the aforementioned beauties.

Good. They finally got a runway model who doesn't have to extremely starve herself just to make the petite cut.
I have always admired Asian women's stature - and too, Scottish women's accents, English women's forwardness', Black women's endurances, Hispanic women's courtesies, Native American women's - (er, think of a famous mountain range near Wyoming), Italian women's culinary skills, French women's patience, German women's aggressiveness, Russian women's warmth, and - best of all - the facial beauties of Japanese women - their almond eyes make me melt!
I guess my "Perfect Woman" might resemble the Bride Of Frankenstein! LOL!
That, or Elvira ...

Hi, I don't have anything to say, just thought I'd be the first to put a non-commercial message here. The girl's cute though, don't you think?

...BTW, Adriana Lima's heritage is a mix of Asian, African, indigenous Brazillian Indian, and Caucasian. Oh, and Naomi Campbell, who has modeled for VS, is part Chinese. i'm an old-school supermodel junkie! Does anyone remember these fierce Asian models of the 90's...Annie Ok, Navia Ngyuen, Ling, Devon Aoki, & my fav...Irina Pantaeva!....if i missed any fierce creature, let me know...i'm sure i'll come up with an abscure but memorable model of yore.

VS is the most discriminating anti large size womens corporation ever allowed to stay in business as seen by their refusal to use pregnant or post pregnant models in their line! what a pile of crap are we allowing to go on in a business atmosphere like we are having in todays recessional economy. Since most american women are larger than we were 30 yrs ago but size of models is smaller than has ever been considered beautiful in any past age is no reason that our modern girls are having identity crisis in body image.

Any diversity the attributes of the models hired to model lingerie is a start, but is way too little and far, far overdue. In light of the developing awareness (pointed out by SadieT at http://www.full-brief-panty.blogspot.com ) of the need for designers to realize that painfully thin is not pretty and the blizzard of world-wide criticism for perpetuating this emaciated look perhaps they should consider a much greater diversity in their panty models such as the one at http://www.full-brief-panty.blogspot.com/ and http://www.sissypantybuns.com/wordpress/?cat=4

Very dissapointed at VS! She only received less than 5 seconds of face time. You didn't see her come out because they decided to do a close up of Fergie's face (seen enough of her) then they cut to her only when she reached the top of the run way and that was it. OMG! All the other girls, even the newer girls received more face time. Very sad, guess it's not time yet for an asian VS model.

In my opinion, there were only 3 or 4 girls in that entire line up that were worth looking at. I am not a huge fan of Heidi Klum but she looked the best- by a milestone. Most of those girls had bodies that looked horrific. They did not have any shape at all. Sickly and starving looking young women. I can only imagine how skinny they looked in person. I have to wonder why these designers want women with the shape of a 12 year old to market their products. I always thought that the Victorias Secret models should be gorgeous women who have amazing voluptuous bodies. Bodies that would make us all envious. They did a good job selecting the newest angel for the show. She was pretty and looked healthier than the rest of the girls.
