Sandra Oh's 'Seinfeld' Pirate Shirt Moment
Filed under: Celebrity, Hot or Not
"Grey's Anatomy" star Sandra Oh had a "Seinfeld" moment on the red carpet the other day.
At the Museum of Contemporary Art's anniversary gala in LA, Oh showed up in a puffy-sleeved white shirt tucked into baggy, tapered black pants.
The ensemble reminded us of the "Seinfeld" episode where Jerry protested wearing a similarly puffy-sleeved white shirt that his girlfriend picked out for him, dubbing the item a "pirate" shirt.
We hear you, Jerry. Puffy sleeves are dangerous territory.
Besides, as a general fashion rule, if it's not good enough for Jerry Seinfeld, it certainly shouldn't be good enough for a major star to wear down the red carpet!
We're not quite sure if this is simply Sandra's own offbeat style, or if a hired stylist actually suggested (and got paid for!) this look.

Ok... if you are going to reference an episode, get it right. Jerry's girlfriend did not pick the shirt out. Cramers's girlfriend, a designer, was a "low talker" they could not understand what she was saying. At dinner one night she asked him to wear her new design. Since he could never uderstand her, he just nodded and said "Yeah, sure", and ended up agreeing to wear it on a talk show.

It was Kramers low talking girlfriend who designed and asked Jerry to wear the puffy shirt on the tonight show.
